Update on Josh 10/3/16 9:00pm
Josh is out of surgery 30 minutes early! The surgery went great! Surgeons successfully repaired his jaw giving him the ability to make a wide range of strange facial expressions like the one above. It is actually really difficult to find a picture of Josh when he is not making a face like that. For those of you who know us well, the picture above is actually very representative of the relationship between Josh and I.
Tomorrow they will begin removing some of the tubes from Josh. The last few days have made it difficult for us to see much progress due to all the surgeries and Josh being sedated most of the time. We believe that this is the last major surgery in the near future. After Josh gets some rest tonight we hope to see more activity from him in the next few days.
One of Josh's friends placed this scripture on the wall in Josh's room.
The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
The righteous person may have many troubles, but the Lord delivers him from them all; he protects all his bones, not one of them will be broken.
-Psalm 34:17-20
Father God, Josh is righteous. We praise you for the progress Josh has made so far. We ask that you deliver Josh, for we are not brokenhearted and we hold to faith that you are God and you alone are capable of all things. Father, we ask for rest for Josh and we ask for healing of his body and of his mind. In your all powerful name, Amen.
All in for Josh
